6.23 Gram Nevada Gold Nugget (SOLD)

Here is a nugget that was found in the Placeritas district in Pershing County, Nevada. This area is a little-known gold mining area west of Rye Patch and Majuba Mountain. This area has produced gold for over a century, but larger nuggets of this size are few and far between nowadays! The area has been hunted hard by detectorists over the years. Most of the sizable nuggets from this area were found years ago and are now in private collections. This piece weighs 6.23 grams. It has a neat rough shape and texture, a truly great piece of Northern Nevada gold. The penny in the photo is for size reference only. It will ship for FREE and comes in a nice display case.
