This is a bright, beautiful gold nugget recently found in the northern Nevada desert. It was unearthed in the Placeritas mining district, a remote area southwest of Winnemucca. This is an exceptionally high quality nugget from a rare location. This area has been hammered by prospectors over the years, and nuggets of this size are exceptionally hard to find from this location. This one is over 1/4 troy oz, or 7.85 grams.
